International Roaming with your Smart Buddy or Talk N Text SIM

Now its easier then ever to text back the the Philippines from many international destinations with your Smart Buddy SIM card set to roaming. Your Roaming Smart Buddy or Tlk N Text SIM card makes it easy for you to stay in touch with your loved ones back home by giving you and them and easy affordable way to text back and forth.

Activating your Smart Buddy or Talk N Text SIM for International Roaming

1. SMS
   Type ROAM ON / OFF and send it to 333.
2. SIM Connect
   On your Cell phone, go to the Smart Menu
   Choose SIM Connect from the menu
   Choose Roam to activate and deactivate your international roaming service
3. Web Connect
   Visit the Smart Connect website at http://smart.com.ph/connect/
   Login your user ID (your cellphone number) and password. If you are not a member yet, you can register and sign up easily with your cellphone number.
   Select International Roaming activation/deactivation
4. Minimum Balance required to activate is P100.00

The international text roaming allows subscribers to send and receive SMS messages and SMS VAS but disabling their voice features. Original subscriber profile shall only be restored upon feature deactivation.

Reactivating a Smart SIM for Roaming

Occasionally a Smart SIM will be deactivated from its ability to roam. This is most often caused by a lack of load balance being kept on the card. There is a simple way to reactivate your Smart SIM for roaming.

1. Make sure there is load available on your card. If you are not sure top it up with load from Aryty.com.
2. Call Smart Customer service number in the Philippines at (632) 888-1111.
3. Ask them to reactivate you SIM for roaming and inform them that it has recharge on it.

Loading a Smart Roaming Phone

Loading a roaming phone is not the same as recharging while in the Philippines. There are however some very easy options for keeping your Smart Buddy SIM loaded while abroad.
