We have been using our Smart Plug N’ Talk for a few months now have we really love it. One of the biggest benefits to us has been when we travel abroad with the Smart Plug N Talk. Anywhere we have Internet access we can call and text the Philippines. The headphone that came with ours broke after about a month but we easily replaced it with a headset we bought online. In its defense we were pretty hard on it.
Smart Plug N Talk Suggestions
- Ability to load rite from the plug n talk. There is a tab that reads E-Load but at least on ours when it is clicked an empty yellow screen appears. This seams like the perfect place to put a simple module for Aryty.com or Pasaload.biz. Its simple enough to go directly to an e-load buying site but having this functionality in a tab would be much better.
- Phone book integration with an email provider would be much better then storing numbers on the SIM. Considering that the Plug N Talk only works when its connected to a constant high speed internet connection there is no reason to limit the phone book to the internal memory. We already have all our contacts in our Yahoo address book. Why not allow the Plug N Talk to pull this information to save time and have it all in one place.
- We already use some chat and video services on our computer that require a headset and mouse. Now the plug n talk ads a second headset. It would be much easier if the plug n talk could use the headset and microphone already attached to our PC.
- While we appreciate the interface is simple it does get a little old after its used for a while. SMS history could be shown more like email instead of sticking to the concept of a phone interface. Perhaps the Plug N talk could provide skins that would allow power users to have a more accessible interface. Chikka allows users to download skins, the Plug N Talk could take this one step further.
Overall we are very happy with the Smart Plug N Talk. It will suit many peoples needs very well, especially if you often online with your PC.
